Computer Workspace Accessories

I'm a full-time web developer so I spend a LOT of time in front of my computer. In addition to my convertible stand-up sit-down desk I have several things that make that time healthier and more comfortable.

3M Adjustable Keyboard Drawer

I originally chose the keyboard drawer because my cube at my old office got moved around a lot and I did not want something I would have to install, then re-install, and re-install each time.  This one appealed to me because there was little to install it.  Take the tower and monitor off it and move it to the new location.  What I ended up really liking about it was both how solid it is and how adjustable it is.  I can easily adjust it to match what I need at the time.

Fellowes Professional Series Laptop Workstation

My main computer is a laptop and this laptop stand is well made, metal, and very adjustable. It also has an included USB hub that makes it function much more like a dock, as opposed to just a stand.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

I have carpal tunnel that flairs up on occasion. This keyboard does a lot to alieviate that. It is well made and has a lot of additional features that make it easy to use.  (Yes it plays nice with Ubuntu)  My only complaint is that it is a bit too high so that I can not fully close the keyboard drawer that I use.

Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball

As I mentioned, I have carpal tunnel that flairs up once in a while.  This trackball keeps that from happening too often.  I find it more comfortable than a mouse and quite easy to use.  It uses the Logitech unifying receiver.  It runs 6 months or more on a single AA cell.
